Living by the Ocean, I often watch the sail boats out on the waves and sometimes wish I could sail away from certain situations. So often I am left feeling stuck in the sand despite wishing to feel the wind in my hair and spray on my face and the freedom of feeling alone for a while. This piece was created using blind contour where the I pictured the images of sail boats and drew them on the canvas without looking. This creates fascinating shapes and lines and I have emphasized these with collage and paint in several layers.

The artwork is finished with a UV resistant varnish and can be hung as is or framed.
