I am very fortunate to have a view from my dining room over the Pacific Ocean and in autumn and winter we are treated to the most fantastic sunsets. This painting evokes the bright colours seen at sunset and creates a playful take on the negative spaces between the pier supports. This is inspired by the Hermosa Beach Pier but I have taken a more abstract approach in painting this to create a more whimsical and fantasy feeling.

This has been finished with a UV resistant varnish and is wired and ready to hang.
