I am constantly both inspired and horrified by the monumental freeways around L.A. I find these huge structures awe inspiring and am always drawn to photographing and painting them. I like to make them look beautiful and turn them into artworks. In this piece I used bight and unusual colors that give this a mid-century feel. I want this painting to transport the viewer to another place and feel the excitement of going on a road trip.

The painting has been finished with a UV resistant varnish and is wired and ready to hang.
